Mattel caught up with the hype by creating the Monster High characters. Toys were then created to give life to these characters. Sons, daughters or relatives of famous monsters like Dracula, the Werewolf, the Mummy, Medusa, Sea Monster and Zombies.
These characters go to the same high school, Monster High and have the usual teenage concerns such as popularity or worrying about grades.
From creating the toys, there is now a series of webisodes that kids can watch online. On the Monster High website kids can also play games and there is a books series where girls can read about their favorite Monster High characters. Plus it’s even said that a movie is in the works.
